| me: | I want to change the world
| random person: | you're just one person, you can't change the world
| me: | that's crap! Mahatma Gandhi was one man. Nelson Mandela is one man. Anyone can change the world. The key is perseverance and dedication, and the simple will to stand up for your beliefs.
| random person: | okay, but what if your beliefs are wrong, you could be the next Hitler.
| me: | of course that's possible, though not very likely, besides, you think Hitler was bad? look at the world today. Hitler was an amateur. Today, America is engaged in dozens of conflicts word-wide. but more insidiously, their capitalistic system, unbeknownst to most of their own people, is starving millions, causing pollution of toxic levels, and spreading materialism into every culture in the world. Capitalism kills more people every year than Hitler managed in the entire WWII. I may not have the right answer, but almost anything i suggest would be better than this shit.
| random person: | okay, so you change the world... then what?
| me: | then.... I want to change the world
| random person: | what?
| me: | well, there's no point in stopping there. i just said i may not have the right answer, so i really should keep looking
| random person: | you're talking about destabilizing the planet for fun!
| me: | i certainly hope it will be fun, and fun should certainly be an end-goal, but you're wrong, i want to change everything, because change is how we grow. change is how we build and create. change is how we learn and it's how we teach. if we change the world, and keep changing it, could you just imagine the heights we could reach as a planet?
| random person: | no, i couldn't!
| me: | i know, and it's so sad that you cant, but don't worry, we'll change that |
