*after seeing a Carl Sagan quote I posted via Facebook…

Me: I believe in universal enlightening. I believe that there is a much better way to coexist & operate in the world we are living in right now. I believe that we are privileged to be living on this planet. I believe that we are all perfect & the establishment we’ve created & the system in place which we’ve allowed to survive is fueled by corruption & manipulation. I believe that our energy/life force will be reciprocated back into the Earth, to be recycled & used elsewhere in the universe after the demise of this planet. I believe that “God” if there must be a label - is all around us, within everything. But if you’re asking me to believe that Carl Sagan - one of the most influential advocates for knowledge about the world around us, along with being a prominent encourager of global scientific literacy, speculation & curiosity toward the immense universe, cosmos & prevention of the destruction of our entire civilization - is now living out his eternity with a fallen angel, burning in agony due to his lack of faith, belief & blind submission to a primitive idea perpetuated for control purposes, self interest, ignorance, stagnation & dominance of a single, narrow ‘opinion’ of the universe, then… no, I do not.
