My parents both have worked for as long as I’ve known them. And during that same time span, not one of them reads anything else but the Bible or Christian literature. I am open & loving toward all religions & spiritual enlightenment. I am open & loving toward every race, gender & sexual preference.

I understand the world & the reality around me because I choose to continually self educate myself & have done so beyond high school & college. I have expanded my mind, my understanding & certainly my perspective, which allows me to sort reality from other peoples’ hopeful & blissful alternative reality.

There are tools that we need in order to live our life honest & true to ourselves & our understanding of this one life we have. And the tool to assist in obtaining the closest possible comprehension of it all just happens to be science, for which our reality would not exist. And as with all religions, Christianity especially should be held accountable for the obscurity of facts & the truthful reality we live in. It’s one thing to tackle the mysticism behind a God who has everything planned out in order to keep a population calm & free from worry. But it’s an entirely other thing to propagate & fuel & corruptly fund on the basis of keeping a population numb, ignorant, naive & illiterate. The only thing that produces & has produced is complete stagnation. Which is what we see all around us & it’s fucking 2012.

It’s utterly embarrassing to see such an ignorant display of narrow-minded selfishness while committing to a suppressive religion backed by another disgrace of a motive: blind faith. Blind faith doesn’t build helicopters or hospitals. And if it couldn’t be worse to view a massive population of people who care less about the world & true reality around them & more on what mega church has the best “nursery”, I happened to have been brought into this world by those same exact types of people, who rebuke truth, fact & the magnificent world around them literally gasping for breath in every corner of this planet.

And as i have tried to have the classic, deep, philosophical, one-on-one, heart-to-hearts with my father or mother, they have provided me no insight in all of my life to the facts or truth about the world because they decided - rather than to stay educated outside of their basis education, they would rather join the Christian Club & completely detach from the world we live in, backed & proven by scientific evidence that exists & holds up parallel with the rest of the universe as well.

Oh I have made peace. But it’s the mere indifference I must put up with when trying to speak to them as another inquisitive adult to another.

Like they say, we all end up in the same place. But these people, along with the delusional millions, feel they are chosen to serve out a mission statement decoded just for them so that they can stop people from the “wisdom-seekers” who are apparently still eating those “bad apples”. This leaves no room for intellectual & beneficial conversation. The only thing left is sports, “news” & the weather. And these are my parents.

If that’s not a sign that there’s something inherently wrong with this country, I must be from another planet myself.
